Nosara Costa Rica - A Natural Beauty

If you are looking for the hustle bustle of a big city with pollution, crime and more buildings than people, Nosara Costa Rica is not the place for you. This is a town that is in many ways unaffected by so much of the modern problems of life. Things there are simpler and purer, like taking a step back in time in many ways. Topping that off is the fact that there is plenty of ocean coastline to enjoy with six beautiful beaches and unlike many beautiful ocean areas they are not covered in homes and businesses.

Ostional Wildlife Refuge Keep Beaches Protected

The obvious lack of development on most of the beaches of Nosara, Costa Rica is due to the Ostional Wildlife Refuge that covers a large part of this prime oceanfront property and is designated to protect the Olive Ridley marine turtles that nest there. This property is safe from builders, at least momentarily while these marine turtles are an endangered species.

Untouched Beaches

It is almost hard to believe there is still an unspoiled beach with a dramatic view of the ocean and so much wildlife left here to enjoy. In fact, the Nosara beaches received an award from the Costa Rican government for their commitment to preserving wildlife and taking care of the environment. The Nosara Civic department is absolutely dedicated to their preservation efforts and has been extremely conservative in their development, landing them the honor of being one of the most eco-friendly communities in the world.

There's No Place like Home

There's no place like home, especially once you have found a special place like Nosara Costa Rica to live in. Life moves at a slower pace and people still care about each other is this little ocean town. Fishing and farming are ways of life and there are very few small businesses in town.

Roughing It

Not all hotels have air conditioning or even hot water. You could almost consider Nosara as the "outback" of Costa Rica and you can make quite an adventure out of a visit here. There are snakes, scorpions, wasps and spiders, but they aren't all that threatening and don't usually seem to cause much concern. The few minor inconveniences are more than made up for by the unspoiled natural beauty of the beaches in the area and the pleasant warmth of the people that live here.

If you ever have the chance to visit Costa Rica you will want to take the time to visit Nosara. There are few places left on earth that are still so naturally beautiful and so unspoiled.

Top Motorcycle Conventions, Expos, Rallies, Events and Festivals

All over the country and indeed, all over the world, bikers and motorcycle enthusiasts will be taking to the streets to visit and participate in conventions, expositions, rallies, rides, festivals and other events. Here are some of the largest and most popular motorcycle events in the U.S.

Sturgis Motorcycle Rally

Pretty much the top event of its kind in the nation, the Sturgis Rally is held in Sturgis, South Dakota during the first week of August. Considered a "classic" rally, due to its inception in 1938, the rally draws motorcycle enthusiasts from all walks of life, including families as well as die hard bikers. Annual attendance can sometimes reach over 500,000 people.

Americade

This "touring rally" bills itself as the world's largest. It takes place in Lake George Village, New York every year during June. This event attracts over 50,000 people.

Bikes, Blues and BBQ

This is an event held in Fayetteville, Arkansas during September or October each year. This event starts of with a ride into the city from the beautiful Ozarks. The rally began in 2000 but has since grown to become the fastest growing rally in the world, hosting over 350,000 people in 2006 alone. One of the main events at Bikes, Blues and BBQ is a barbecue. This event also benefits charity and is considered to be very family friendly, with many bikers bringing their children.

Daytona Beach Bike Week

This event consists of a rally, street festival, concerts and many parties in Daytona Beach, Florida. Regularly attracting 500,000 people and up each March, this event competes with the Sturgis rally for the title of the largest and most popular motorcycle event during the year. A motorcycle race is a big part of this event, covering a 3.2 mile course that switches back and forth between pavement and beach. The event is held over a period of 10 days and also hosts a classic and custom bike show as well as a clambake and seafood festival.

Laconia Motorcycle Week

This is another rally type event held each June in Laconia, New Hampshire. Laconia Motorcycle Week features a wide variety of events including vintage races, swap meets, tours, fireworks, concerts, bike demos and bike shows.

Laughlin River Run

The largest motorcycle "run" in the western U.S., the Laughlin River Run is held each April in Laughlin, Nevada. Festivities include concerts, bike shows, charity events and a Poker Run.

Love Ride

A Southern California event, it bills itself as the largest one day motorcycle event. Largely a fund raiser, the ride boasts a range of celebrities as participants including talk show host Jay Leno, a well known auto enthusiast. Also joining the ride, celebs like Larry Hagman, Peter Fonda, Dennis Hopper, Hulk Hogan, Steven Tyler, Mary Hart, Pat Boone, Nancy Sinatra and Pamela Anderson. This event takes place each October and will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2008.

I have already mention in my previous post about different types of bikinis that are popular among girls. Among these different types of most sexy and attractive type is G-string bikini. Actually it is thong but it is also used as bikini and popularly known as micro bikini. For fashion conscious girls and who have guts to wear it for them is the most suitable type of bikini. This is most comfortable, sporty and sexy looking bikini to wear on beach.

Teenagers in thongs is not something that most parents really want to even think about regarding their own teenagers.

Teenagers in thongs is not something that most parents really want to even think about regarding their own teenagers. Thongs are very revealing articles of lingerie, or swim suit style. Therefore, when it comes down to whether they are a good idea for teenagers or not would seem to depend totally on how and where the thongs are to be worn.

First, let's look at what a thong actually IS. Most people are familiar with g-strings. While a g-string is one tiny strip of material going down, the thong is wider and has a bit more of a triangular shape. And yes, they are quite revealing.

While a lot of parents don't realize it, there are many teenagers in thongs running around today. Of course the only way you would probably know is if the teenager told you. It is a very popular underwear style and is worn by a large number of teenage girls. If your teenage daughter simply wants to wear thong underwear, this is really not such a big deal. As underwear is worn UNDER the clothes, no one else is going to realize that she is actually wearing a thong, except for her girl friends. So, you can see it is no different than wearing any other style of underwear.

However, there are also swimsuit styles which feature the bottom half as a thong. This is a good time to sit your teenager down and have a chat about the limits of decency, as she may not realize just how much of her body she will be showing on a beach to strangers. A thong style swimsuit belongs in the pages of men's magazines and not on your teenage daughter. Poolside is not really when you want to see teenagers in thongs.

Some teenage girls will be quite rebellious when parents put their foot down on clothing styles. If your daughter is one of these, you may be in for a difficult time. But, as a parent, you have the responsibility of trying to teach your teenager the differences between attractive and trashy. She needs to understand that people, particularly males, who see her sashaying about in her thong swimsuit are going to think all sorts of inappropriate thoughts about her. Teenagers in thongs are very much on display in a public setting.

Compromising with your teenager might be a workable solution. You could agree to let her wear thong underwear, but she will have to give up the idea of a thong swimsuit until she is old enough to decide for herself how she wants to be viewed by others. Hopefully, by the time she is of legal age to do so, she will realize that it is not only teenagers in thongs that is a bad idea.
