Top Tips For a Successful Summer Holiday

Summer holidays are, like Christmas, a catalyst for divorce. 2 weeks spent in close proximity, away from the usual routine, can spell disaster. These are my top tips for a successful summer holiday.

· Find a resort that caters for both/all of you. If one of you wants a beach holiday and the other wants golf, water sports, sightseeing or history then find somewhere that has both.

· Agree to spend time apart doing your 'own things' if you have different ideas of a good holiday. It doesn't matter if you spend all day apart as long as you spend evenings together (and one person doesn't end up looking after the kids all the time).

· If self-catering share the chores. It is a holiday for everyone.

· Have at least two romantic dinners on your own. Find a babysitting service for the kids. Treat it as a date, hold hands and talk to each other. Why not flirt - we forget to flirt with each other once we have been married for a while.

· Leave Blackberrys and laptops at home. You are on holiday and the office will have to cope without you. It is absolutely not fine to work when you are on holiday. You need to relax completely and it is guaranteed to annoy your spouse/partner.

· Take plenty of books/magazines. Reading is a great way of really relaxing.

· Don't drink too much. You're more likely to argue and you'll waste the next day feeling dreadful.

· If you have kids, book somewhere with a kids club and a babysitting service.

· Why not go on holiday with friends who have children the same age as yours. You can take turns babysitting and you are less likely to argue in front of another couple.

· Remember what it was that first attracted you to each other and to rekindle your old feelings.

Working out can be strenuous to some people but there are enjoyable work outs will enable you keep fit and stay relaxed too. Dancing is another way to keep fit and stay healthy. Body fitness tips will require you to be always active. Don't just sit in the couch all day watching TV try and jog around or play with the kids. We've all seen the stunningly gorgeous, in "perfect shape" bikini fitness model in fashion magazines, fitness and healthy magazines, and we usually feel jealous. But did you know that these models work very hard to keep themselves in such great shape? It takes a lot of dedication and hard work to stay in such tip-top shape, and while their figures are enviable- appreciate their hard work and dedication.

The reason these models are in such great shape is because they take good care of their bodies. For these men and women, their bodies are their livelihood, their "bread and butter" so to speak. These people take very good care of their bodies, they watch what they eat, they drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and they follow strict work out regimens which help them stay in optimum condition.

A bikini fitness model takes care of his or her self constantly, and he or she stays motivated to do so by the fact that they FEEL better than the average person who doesn't take care of themselves, as well as the fact that they don't have much choice. Their body truly is their living, if they let themselves go, then they aren't going to make money.

Likewise, fashion models are in the same boat. When your body is your way of life, your living and your "bread and butter," it's best to take care of it and make sure you do maintenance on it. Bodies are kind of like old cars, when taken care of, they run perfectly and look great, when they're not cared for and maintenance isn't done, then they start to deteriorate. This is the secret that any type of model has learned.

When a bikini fitness model works hard to maintain their body and stay in good shape, you can tell. Their hair and skin will have a healthy "glow" or sheen to it, skin blemishes and acne will be minimal if present at all, and you will be able to see their muscle tone and while some will be overly muscled, most will have simply good muscle tone over-all and well-defined muscles. You will be able to tell, simply by looking, that they take pride in their bodies and their fitness levels.

Most of these models won't eat saturated fats, overly processed foods, and they won't eat a lot of sugar or drink soda or overly caffeinated drinks. There's a reason why- they have realized that these things will build up in a person's body and slowly poison their bodies- which ends up sabotaging anyone's attempts at being fit and healthy.

A bikini fitness model understands that to maintain optimum health, wellness and muscle tone- it's important to feed their bodies healthy foods, nutritious foods, and to drink plenty of water. They also have the dedication and perseverance to keep up their healthy lifestyle and make healthy choices, they realize that to maintain their looks and fitness means that they maintain their income and way of living. Denia is a popular tourist resort which is located to the north of Javea. It is located along the northern side of the Costa Blanca coast line which connects this city to Torrevieja a very popular tourist destination. The weather is just what you would expect from a city in Costa Blanca, the summers are nice and hot but the winters are still quite mild. There is rarely any rain in this area, and it enjoys 320 days of sunny weather every year!

This city is pretty much in the middle of two popular airports. It is possible for visitors to this region to fly into either Valencia or Alicante airport. Each takes around an hour and a quarter by car to the city.

The easiest way to get around once you have arrived is to hire a car. This allows you plenty of freedom to travel the area in comfort. It's possible to hire cars at the airport or in the city. It is a good idea to reserve your car before travelling in case they run out.

Things to do in Denia

Denia is still very much a working town, you will be able to experience a very authentic Spanish experience which you won't get in many of the more tourist areas. You can still visit the larger cities for day trips, especially if you hired a car.

Another huge benefit of this town is that it doesn't shut down in the winter. Many of the tourist areas are only open during the peak period and then will shut. Here all of the stores will remain open all year round, this is great if you are planning to visit out of season.

There are quite a few really good spas in and around Denia. Spas are my favorite way to relax, it's so relaxing and makes you feel at ease. You can find spas near the mountain areas and beaches.

There is also a very historic castle which was built way back in the 16th century. This is somewhat of a landmark, and it is possible to tour this castle throughout the year.

Enjoying Nature in Denia

Denia and Javea are physically separated by a large mountain called Montgo Mountain. This has many great routes for walkers and hikers. You can either explore these on your own, or go with a walking tour. This is fantastic because you get to experience nature up close and personal. When climbing the mountain you will see some truly amazing views of the town.

Denia has 20km of beautiful beaches, these are all sandy and very clean. These beaches have received the blue flag award for quite a few years. You will no doubt love spending time soaking up the sun on these beaches.

Denia can also offer a wide range of water sports if that floats your boat! There is diving, wind surfing and snorkeling. There are some fantastic dives around the southern beaches.

If you are looking for the hustle bustle of a big city with pollution, crime and more buildings than people, Nosara Costa Rica is not the place for you. This is a town that is in many ways unaffected by so much of the modern problems of life. Things there are simpler and purer, like taking a step back in time in many ways. Topping that off is the fact that there is plenty of ocean coastline to enjoy with six beautiful beaches and unlike many beautiful ocean areas they are not covered in homes and businesses.

Ostional Wildlife Refuge Keep Beaches Protected

The obvious lack of development on most of the beaches of Nosara, Costa Rica is due to the Ostional Wildlife Refuge that covers a large part of this prime oceanfront property and is designated to protect the Olive Ridley marine turtles that nest there. This property is safe from builders, at least momentarily while these marine turtles are an endangered species.

Untouched Beaches

It is almost hard to believe there is still an unspoiled beach with a dramatic view of the ocean and so much wildlife left here to enjoy. In fact, the Nosara beaches received an award from the Costa Rican government for their commitment to preserving wildlife and taking care of the environment. The Nosara Civic department is absolutely dedicated to their preservation efforts and has been extremely conservative in their development, landing them the honor of being one of the most eco-friendly communities in the world.

There's No Place like Home

There's no place like home, especially once you have found a special place like Nosara Costa Rica to live in. Life moves at a slower pace and people still care about each other is this little ocean town. Fishing and farming are ways of life and there are very few small businesses in town.

Roughing It

Not all hotels have air conditioning or even hot water. You could almost consider Nosara as the "outback" of Costa Rica and you can make quite an adventure out of a visit here. There are snakes, scorpions, wasps and spiders, but they aren't all that threatening and don't usually seem to cause much concern. The few minor inconveniences are more than made up for by the unspoiled natural beauty of the beaches in the area and the pleasant warmth of the people that live here.

If you ever have the chance to visit Costa Rica you will want to take the time to visit Nosara. There are few places left on earth that are still so naturally beautiful and so unspoiled.

Top Motorcycle Conventions, Expos, Rallies, Events and Festivals

All over the country and indeed, all over the world, bikers and motorcycle enthusiasts will be taking to the streets to visit and participate in conventions, expositions, rallies, rides, festivals and other events. Here are some of the largest and most popular motorcycle events in the U.S.

Sturgis Motorcycle Rally

Pretty much the top event of its kind in the nation, the Sturgis Rally is held in Sturgis, South Dakota during the first week of August. Considered a "classic" rally, due to its inception in 1938, the rally draws motorcycle enthusiasts from all walks of life, including families as well as die hard bikers. Annual attendance can sometimes reach over 500,000 people.

Americade

This "touring rally" bills itself as the world's largest. It takes place in Lake George Village, New York every year during June. This event attracts over 50,000 people.

Bikes, Blues and BBQ

This is an event held in Fayetteville, Arkansas during September or October each year. This event starts of with a ride into the city from the beautiful Ozarks. The rally began in 2000 but has since grown to become the fastest growing rally in the world, hosting over 350,000 people in 2006 alone. One of the main events at Bikes, Blues and BBQ is a barbecue. This event also benefits charity and is considered to be very family friendly, with many bikers bringing their children.

Daytona Beach Bike Week

This event consists of a rally, street festival, concerts and many parties in Daytona Beach, Florida. Regularly attracting 500,000 people and up each March, this event competes with the Sturgis rally for the title of the largest and most popular motorcycle event during the year. A motorcycle race is a big part of this event, covering a 3.2 mile course that switches back and forth between pavement and beach. The event is held over a period of 10 days and also hosts a classic and custom bike show as well as a clambake and seafood festival.

Laconia Motorcycle Week

This is another rally type event held each June in Laconia, New Hampshire. Laconia Motorcycle Week features a wide variety of events including vintage races, swap meets, tours, fireworks, concerts, bike demos and bike shows.

Laughlin River Run

The largest motorcycle "run" in the western U.S., the Laughlin River Run is held each April in Laughlin, Nevada. Festivities include concerts, bike shows, charity events and a Poker Run.

Love Ride

A Southern California event, it bills itself as the largest one day motorcycle event. Largely a fund raiser, the ride boasts a range of celebrities as participants including talk show host Jay Leno, a well known auto enthusiast. Also joining the ride, celebs like Larry Hagman, Peter Fonda, Dennis Hopper, Hulk Hogan, Steven Tyler, Mary Hart, Pat Boone, Nancy Sinatra and Pamela Anderson. This event takes place each October and will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2008.

Teenagers in thongs is not something that most parents really want to even think about regarding their own teenagers.

Teenagers in thongs is not something that most parents really want to even think about regarding their own teenagers. Thongs are very revealing articles of lingerie, or swim suit style. Therefore, when it comes down to whether they are a good idea for teenagers or not would seem to depend totally on how and where the thongs are to be worn.

First, let's look at what a thong actually IS. Most people are familiar with g-strings. While a g-string is one tiny strip of material going down, the thong is wider and has a bit more of a triangular shape. And yes, they are quite revealing.

While a lot of parents don't realize it, there are many teenagers in thongs running around today. Of course the only way you would probably know is if the teenager told you. It is a very popular underwear style and is worn by a large number of teenage girls. If your teenage daughter simply wants to wear thong underwear, this is really not such a big deal. As underwear is worn UNDER the clothes, no one else is going to realize that she is actually wearing a thong, except for her girl friends. So, you can see it is no different than wearing any other style of underwear.

However, there are also swimsuit styles which feature the bottom half as a thong. This is a good time to sit your teenager down and have a chat about the limits of decency, as she may not realize just how much of her body she will be showing on a beach to strangers. A thong style swimsuit belongs in the pages of men's magazines and not on your teenage daughter. Poolside is not really when you want to see teenagers in thongs.

Some teenage girls will be quite rebellious when parents put their foot down on clothing styles. If your daughter is one of these, you may be in for a difficult time. But, as a parent, you have the responsibility of trying to teach your teenager the differences between attractive and trashy. She needs to understand that people, particularly males, who see her sashaying about in her thong swimsuit are going to think all sorts of inappropriate thoughts about her. Teenagers in thongs are very much on display in a public setting.

Compromising with your teenager might be a workable solution. You could agree to let her wear thong underwear, but she will have to give up the idea of a thong swimsuit until she is old enough to decide for herself how she wants to be viewed by others. Hopefully, by the time she is of legal age to do so, she will realize that it is not only teenagers in thongs that is a bad idea.
